Mark doing some bike fit measurements

If you are a serious cyclist, triathlete or novice rider, the chances are you spend a lot of time and money getting the right gear and putting in the right training. But when did you last think about whether you are in the right position?

Testing the power output after adjustments

Breeze Bikes Bike Fit is an analysis of how you are riding and how your bike is set up. It allows for tiny adjustments that can have a huge impact on your performance.

During the process of a bike fit in our private fit studio your past sporting history, current fitness and flexibility is assessed. Then it is time to hop on your bike so that your current position can be analysed. Some base measurements are taken and a short video clip is made as a reference.

From then changes can be made to give you the most comfortable and efficient position possible. The whole process takes between 2-3 hours and is a journey of discovery for the rider.

A Breeze Bikes Bike Fit is for you if:

  • You have injuries that are aggravated when you ride
  • You have been cycling for a while and want to take your performance to a new level
  • You feel as though you are not performing as well as you could be
  • Cyclling hurts (apart from big hills, falling off and the other times it is supposed to hurt)
  • You are looking to purchase a new bike, but aren't sure of the size required

Sidas Footbeds

Sidas Conform'able

In cycling the contact points between the body and the bike are in 3 places. Everyone thinks about their saddle and handlebars, yet ignores the most important contact point, which is their feet.

Rather than buying pre-moulded insoles that may help support you, Sidas allow a totally customized insole to be made. These insoles lead to greater support, comfort and better knee tracking, leading to improved circulation and power output.

After a foot examination and a discussion of any issues, it is time to get the moulds made. When making the mould, the ankle is kept in neutral, the achilles straight and the knee in line. When the moulds have been formed and it is time to take the insoles out of the oven, blend them into the moulds and place the feet back on top of them. As the insoles cool they harden and form, then they are cut to size and placed into the riders shoe.
